About Us

At CrossFit Paso Robles we train incredibly hard; harder than most thought they were capable of. Everyday our athletes break down barriers and set new standards for themselves. Our training is intense, and it creates a bond among our members that can’t be faked or manufactured. Together we sweat, we expose weaknesses and we get better and stronger…together. The community aspect and family friendly environment of CFPR is our greatest strength. At CrossFit there are no ego’s, no room for bad attitudes. Those type of people just don’t last here. We are supportive, we are competitive, we are strong, we are humble, we are athletes….we are CrossFit. Our experienced coaches have extensive backgrounds in CrossFit, personal training, including youth, post rehab and sport specific training, offering you the highest quality of training available!  We are responsible for ensuring that your workout is neither easy, nor impossible.  We will help you train using proper form and improve your range of motion.  The CrossFit approach to fitness is to safely progress your speed and intensity, while scaling exercises and workload to your fitness level.  We are passionate about your fitness and life goals, helping you transform into a new you!
CrossFit Paso Robles is the right choice for anyone who, does not enjoy exercise or has become bored with their routine, has limited time, wants more strength and speed in their sport, wants to get in shape but doesn’t know how to design a fitness program and dislikes the impersonal globo-gym environment.
The best way to get a feel for CrossFit Paso Robles is to come and check out a class!  Our community at CrossFit Paso Robles is where the real magic happens. At CrossFit Paso Robles, you will immediately see people of all ages and skill levels working out together, supporting each other and welcoming newcomers to join our family.  Our classes are an excellent mixture of individual coaching and group motivation.

What to expect

Instead of rows of stationary bikes and weight machines, our facility is filled with pull-up bars, kettlebells, barbells, rowers and wide open space for squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing – moving our body the way it is supposed to move. All of our workouts are made up of exercises that are universal and mimic movements performed in everyday life. We focus on improving those functional movements that are necessary and common in our daily activities, like picking up our kids or moving that bag of mulch from our trunk to the backyard.
At CrossFit, we never work out alone. Instead, we train with a small group of other athletes and one of our experienced, professional coaches. By working with a small group of 10 athletes or less we give the personal attention that can’t be found at a large gym. Our coaches design different, fun workouts everyday and help customize it to suit each individual’s fitness level.
All workouts are 45 minutes or less and guaranteed to make us work hard and push the mental boundaries we all have. We strive to create a friendly and fun atmosphere that welcomes athletes from all walks of life. Our team is here to motivate and support you as you transform yourself mentally and physically.
You can expect a lot of coaching to teach you proper execution of various movements. You’ll see everyone working out with a lot of intensity, but in a friendly and supportive environment, members continuously motivate each other to push themselves. The workout is different every day, so you will never be bored; with our constantly varied programming you will rarely do the same workout twice in any given year! You will never have to program your own workouts or spend hours in the gym. Instead, each day a workout will be provided for you that is scalable to suit your fitness level.

How intense are the classes?

There is a common misconception that CrossFit is for elite athletes. The truth is that it is for everyone. Sure, we say that we are “forging elite fitness” and we are. This means that you start the journey where you are today. And, if you stay on our path it’s likely that you will get into the best physical, emotional and mental shape of your life. Our community is comprised of competitive athletes, former athletes, working professionals, stay-at-home parents, people that had never stepped foot into a gym and people with physical ailments. Our program is the most efficient, most effective and safe regimen, but modified as needed for everyone. Our classes are designed to allow everyone to push themselves, whether they are a new or experienced athlete. We regularly modify our programs in many ways to accommodate athletes’ abilities and skills, or past injuries. Our coaches will ensure that you get a great workout, at your fitness level.  Anyone can do CrossFit!

My path in fitness is a familiar one. I participated in sports all through high school and college (gymnastics, track, volleyball). After starting a family I struggled with finding a sport that was as satisfying and challenging as gymnastics. In 2010 I was told about CrossFit from a friend that lived in another town but could not find anything local. While entering my local gym I noticed a CrossFit sign and decided to check it out. It was love at first workout. I found that not only are the workouts constantly varied and challenging but also the CrossFit family is very inviting and always willing to share what information they have.
Outside of CrossFit I’m a full time Fire Engineer for Atascadero State Hospital and a volunteer Fire Engineer for Templeton Fire. I have my CrossFit Level 1 Certification. I am also EMT/CPR certified. I am looking forward to participating in other certifications in the near future.
I enjoy sharing my experiences with others through CrossFit. It is important to me to have fun in the box, and I’m grateful that I get to do this at such a great box!

I am a busy mom of three who enjoys cooking, bike riding and going to the beach with my family. I have a bachelor of arts degree in criminology, law and society. CrossFit is my first ever sport. As a ”non-athlete,” CrossFit has given me the opportunity to recognize the benefits of strength and conditioning programs for both competitive athletes as well as everyday people looking to improve overall health and mental toughness!

I started CrossFit in April, 2013 soon after my second child was born. Before CrossFit I would only make it to a standard gym a few times a month running on the same treadmill and not have much motivation to return. CrossFit provided variety, community, and structure and took away the intimidation of lifting heavy weights and pushing myself. CrossFit Paso Robles has become a second home for myself and my family that we look forward to going to every day.
After 2 years of training and improving my overall fitness, I decided to become a Level 1 Trainer and coach at CrossFit Paso Robles so I could encourage and motivate others in the gym. Just as I liked seeing improvements in my own capacity and performance, being a trainer has let me be a part of other people’s accomplishments and victories.
Outside of CrossFit I’m a stay-at home mom and like to go to the beach, hike, and go camping with my husband Ben and our two kids Hadley and Baz.
